About This Special Issue
The growth, yield and yield quality of garlic (Allium sativum L) in Ethiopia especially in Jimma area is strictly limited because of lack of proper agronomic practices, improved varieties, recommended fertilizer application dependent on the soil condition and environmental flexibility. This is the main problem for not only smallholder farmer, but also for large farm producer (investor) in the area condition. Additionally, the soil analysis dependent fertilizer application in the area condition is not adopted and most of the garlic producer farmer are using the blanket recommendation rather than using blended fertilizer which depends on that soil analysis. Therefore, the overview of my Special Issue’s is aimed to identify the NPSB blended fertilizer effect on the growth, yield and yield components and quality of the garlic varieties. Additionally, to recommend the amount of fertilizer and best variety for that specific area.
