About This Special Issue
In recent time, the debate over excessive use of mobile and the behavioral issues related with smart phone addiction have gained attention of researchers around the globe. Different researchers have highlighted that sometime excessive use of internet and overuse of smart phone, poor interpersonal relations and vice versa lead to different psychopathologies such as gaming, pornography, infidelity, stress, social anxiety disorder, depression, anxiety and related disorders. Researchers have identified different contributory behavior related to internet addiction such as poor interpersonal relationship, low self-esteem, personality traits, narcissistic features (self love) that give these adolescents and adults to overcome these contributory behaviors by indulging into social networking and spending more time on internet that in-turn leads to other problematic behaviors. However, there is insufficient peer reviewed evidence to establish the association of Psychopathology, Smart Phone Addiction and other related issues.
