About This Special Issue
The extraordinary structural and compositional versatility of block copolymers (BCPs) has facilitated an explosion in the discovery and implementation of innovative synthetic strategies capable of generating previously unattainable levels of man-made architectural complexity. One of the fascinating features of BCPs is their capability to micro phase separate into a plethora of ordered nanostructures. Because of the chemical and topological diversity of BCPs, their applications have been rapidly expanding to the fields of advanced materials, patterning, drug delivery, and many others over the last two decades.
This special issue is to bring together research that aims at developing functional polymers and block copolymers using controlled/living polymerization techniques, modifying polymers’ functionalities to create ordered nanostructures, controlling polymer/environment interactions to achieve stimuli-responsive materials.

Aims and Scope:

  1. Controlled polymerization techniques
  2. Block copolymers
  3. Self-assembly
  4. Polymer interfaces
  5. Hybrid materials
  6. Stimuli-responsive materials
