About This Special Issue
Experiments on electron/electromagnetic/ion irradiation of various nanomaterials/materials demonstrate that it can have beneficial effects and that radiation may be used to tailor the structure and properties of nanomaterials/materials systems with high precision. However, the evolution process of the structural transformation and physical property changes of nanomaterials/materials under irradiation are still unclear. Also, the radiation hardness capabilities of certain nanomaterials/materials are still not yet well understood. Moreover, nanomaterials/materials working capability under harsh environment is still unclear. Therefore all above issues experimentally/theoretically should be explore. Moreover, for future miniaturization of electronic devices, interconnections of nanowires/nanotubes are essential. Different attemps are made to interconnect nanowires/nanotubes using radiation technology. This investigation will be useful for exploring the radiation technology for future controlled interconnection of nanodevices.

Aims and Scope:
1. Roles of defects induced y radiation
2. Radiation (electrons, electromagnetic, ions, neutrons etc ) effects on the properties of nanomaterials/materials
3. Nanomaterials/materials in harsh environments
4. Radiation hardness testing of spacecraft materiasl
5. Radiation induced synthesis of nanoparticles
6. Radiation induced synthesis of materials and compounds
7. Radiation hardness testing of spacecrafts materials
