Abstract: The government of Tanzania has persistently experienced uneven growth rate of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and failed to attain the national target. This research study intended to examine the impact of oil price volatility on inflation and economic growth in Tanzania. Specifically, the analysed the causal relationship between Oil Price Volatility, inflation and economic growth in Tanzania. The study employed secondary data and the modelling of time series data was done by using Auto regressive distributed lag model (ARDL). The analysis showed the following results, after controlling the effect of export and import, the oil price volatility has negative impact on economic growth and after controlling the effect of exchange rate and Interest rate on the inflation rate it showed that the oil price volatility has positive impact on inflation in long run. whenever the oil price volatility increases by one percent the inflation rate increases by the rate of 1.340 percentage. Furthermore, the analysis result showed that there was no causality between the oil price volatility and economic growth (GDP); there was a two-way direction of causality between economic growth (GDP) and inflation rate and also, the result showed there was a one-way direction of the causality from the oil price volatility on inflation that means that oil price volatility enhanced the inflation rate. The study recommendation or advice was the Government through the regulatory authority to manage the oil price volatility, exchange rate, export and import in order to curb effects on inflation and economic growth (GDP).

Abstract: A national e-commerce demonstration city is a city with a relatively popular application of e-commerce and a high annual e-commerce transaction volume, with the aim of reducing energy consumption and developing a green economy. It is an attempt by China to actively explore a unique modernization path with Chinese characteristics. We believe that in the new era, the transformation of urban e-commerce can increase innovation vitality, create more opportunities for people to achieve prosperity, and become an important new practical approach to promote common prosperity. Based on the policy experiment of national e-commerce demonstration city pilot construction as the main entry point of the project, this paper explores the process and development facts of China's innovation policy pilot construction, combines theoretical and empirical analysis, and uses multidimensional data and multiple econometrics methods to analyze and evaluate the innovation vitality of urban e-commerce transformation region influenced by mechanism and policy. Our research finds that the transformation of urban e-commerce plays a crucial role in activating urban innovation vitality and enhancing the market drivers of innovation vitality. We must unwaveringly consolidate and develop the public sector of the economy and expand financing and market access mechanisms, which will help to enhance innovation vitality and gradually improve the ability of market participants to achieve prosperity, thus facilitating the exploration and realization of the road to common prosperity.

Abstract: In recent years, green finance has led to increased focus on ESG performance, measuring corporate social responsibility. Meanwhile, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) play a crucial role in international capital flow, which have attracted widespread attention. Exploring the impact of foreign M&A on ESG performance of companies has become an important research topic. Based on the sample of foreign mergers and acquisitions of Chinese listed companies from 2017 to 2022, this paper innovatively examines the impact and mechanism of foreign M&A on Chinese listed companies' ESG performance using propensity score matching and multi-period difference-in-differences methods. Findings indicate: (1) Foreign M&A significantly improves corporate ESG performance; (2) The impact of foreign M&A varies across different types of enterprises. Regarding the acquiring companies, foreign companies have a greater impact on improving ESG performance compared to companies from Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. On the target companies' side, large-scale companies are more effective in utilizing the opportunities provided by mergers and acquisitions (M&A) to leverage their advantages. (3) Foreign M&A is particularly effective in enhancing environmental indicators within the ESG framework; (4) The mechanism behind this improvement involves a significant green culture effect, which promotes the improvement of ESG performance by amplifying the influence of corporate green culture.

Abstract: This study was initiated with the aim of assessing factors affecting saving habit of coffee producers in Bule Hora Woreda West Guji Zone and further to investigate effects of identified factors on saving intension and abilities of households. Study was employed both qualitative and quantitative research approach with descriptive and explanatory research design. Data collected from both primary and secondary sources through data collection tools such as observation, interview and written questionnaires. 5-point Likert scale questions were employed to for the deep investigation of respondents attitudinal and feeling with regard to study issue. 215 households were included in sample using both random and non random sampling technique. Descriptive statistical tool such as mean, standard deviation, table, Percentages, and frequencies were used to analyze descriptive part, whereas, inferential statistics were used to analyze cause and effect relationship between dependent and independent variables. Qualitative data were analyzed in narrative form and also used as cross validation for quantitative data. Findings of the study reveals that the household family size, household consumption pattern, resource management and availability of saving institutions are major factors that affect saving intension and ability of the households in study area. Based on the findings researcher recommended that the farmers in the area need to special attention for consumption and resource management. Researcher also forwarded recommendation for governing organs to facilitate saving institutions for coffee producers rural households to initiate savings.

Abstract: The issue of fake news has its antecedents in the very logic of capitalism, and has now become a recurrent phenomenon due to the way in which capitalist relations of production are being fetishized through the manipulation of reality. The issue of fake news has become a viral concern in social networks due to the dangers it represents for various social actors. The purpose of this article is to offer an assessment from the perspective of Political Economy, recognizing that the deepest cause of the same is a reflection of the sharpening of the fundamental economic contradiction of this system. The methodological procedure of documentary review was used, from the paradigm of qualitative research; this allowed, through documentary observation, analysis and synthesis, to make valid assessments for decision making in social institutions. As a central conclusion, it identifies that in the face of the problems caused by false news, the proposals for solutions are varied, some of them are focused on media education and others on the role of technology using artificial intelligence to detect this fact and discriminate it, with the limitation that it is not recognized that this fact is inherent to capitalist production relations. Beyond its use in the economic, political and ideological scenario of the term, Fake News is related to extremist opinions, propaganda and manipulation; the intentionality is to deceive the user. They are ways of generating alienation within the framework of capitalist relations of production, representing the interests of big capital, under the content of an unconventional war, based on creating uncertainties, through the misrepresentation of ideas. Politicians and powerful actors such as transnational companies in the digital environment have appropriated the term to mischaracterize media coverage that is not in line with their monopolistic interests, so that the conception with which the indiscriminate use of Fake News is handled, is an expression of the crisis of norms, beliefs and values of mercantile societies, endangering the credibility of individuals, organizations, States and communities.
