American Journal of Pharmacology and Phytotherapy publishes papers in the field of pharmacology and phytotherapy. Pharmacology is the study of drugs including their origin, composition, pharmacokinetics, therapeutic use, and toxicology. Phytotherapy is the study of the use of extracts of natural origin as medicines or health-promoting agents. The journal presents original and review papers. The primary goal of this journal is to advance the understanding of pharmacological and biological activities of synthetic drugs and medicinal plants, and clinical use of these agents in human diseases treatment. The journal is addressed but not limited to pharmacology and phytotherapy; papers of other fields such as pharmacognosy, natural products and medicinal plants in which other specialists may be interested are also welcomed.
